This is our princess Cody.

Camping in North Wales...

Well, we just got back from a camping/road trip to
Wales. Miles and I went with Ric and Lina.
We hired a car, bought tents and were on
our way! We stayed near Snowdonia national park
(North Wales) in a place called Dolgellau. On the
drive we went to Warwick castle. They were having a festival for the long weekend, so we got to see some great stuff. The castle was massive and fully decked
out with Madame Tussauds' models of all the different kings,
queens, servants - everything! It was hard to tell between the models and the staff!

We saw a jousting show, yes with "they're dreaming" jousting sticks!
it was raining all day so it was wet but fun. We spent probably 3 hours there,
then drove on to Wales. The sheep have tails!!!! They
look hillarious!

The country side was beautiful, green, gorgeous houses
and scenery. We stopped by a few towns/villages along the way,
saw steam trains, did the touristy thing. We arrived
in Dolgellau around 6pm (after visiting 3 other camp
sites trying to find the one we booked!) All was well,
we put up our tents and headed into town for a pub
meal. Dolgellau was gorgeous, really quaint. The pub
we wanted to go to was booked out, so we went to a
really old one, been there for a century and more. The
only food they served was roast in a burger with chips
and a meagre garnish of salad. You could only choose
between lamb or chicken. They
covered the whole meal with gravy, so you couldn't
even pick up the burger if you wanted to. We stayed
for one beer and got out of there! We then got some
small blocks of wood, after asking directions from the
local coppa and had some beers and laughter around the
camp fire. Bliss.

The next morning (Sunday) we headed to Anglesey via a
few roman sites (not very identifiable except some
roman writing on a stone), had an english breakfast
in a cute village in the mountains. It was
great, good weather and again just beautiful sights.
We stopped by some river to see if we could cross over
to a cave, thought better of it and headed on.

We got to Caernarfon and saw the magnificant castle on the water's edge, just stunning. We spent quite a bit of time looking in all the nooks and
crannies of the maze, continually getting lost.

We then drove over the bridge to Anglesey and went to a lighthouse which
we had to walk 400 to 500 steps or so (down was okay, up
sucked)!!!! Beautiful views of cliffs and stories
about the old lighthouse etc.

On our way back to the camp site we took the coastal
road, Miles and Ric walked up to an old burial site
while Lina and I checked out the beach.
We had a nice meal and beer in a cute pub in a
small town on the way back, then set up camp fire
again and had some chats, music and beer!

Next morning was Monday, so we packed up camp just
before the rain set in and headed to King Arthur's
Labyrinth not far from Dolgellau. It was cool. The
tour took us on a boat ride in an old slate mine, then we walked through the chambers while we listened to some
of the Welsh interpretations of his life. We
then did some shopping of course! There were sweet
craft, leather and pottery stores where we
purchased a dragon incence burner (smokes out of it's
nose and mouth), I bought a leather belt and leather
bag and Miles got an Excalibur letter opener. We had to get a
toy sheep to remind us of Wales too.

Then we headed home. Traffic was crapola, we tried to
see sights along the way from the car but as everyone
was driving back from the long weekend it was horrid. We
were meant to have the car back in Luton by 6pm, we got
there around 6:30pm so we did prety well, people certainly drive fast here!
Then we trained it back to London and got home around 9:30pm.

So there's an update of our weekend, hopefully you all got a picture of the great time we had...ready for many more!

Love to all! If we can work out how to put more photo's on we will do so soon.

The story so far....

Hi All!!!

I thought I would add a bit to Miles' last post, yes it's rainy but summer's on the way!

Well since we left 20 Feb, it has been a whirlwind of life's experiences. As most who read this will know, we saw parts of the US, including LA (and all the exciting attractions including, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Universal Studios, Disneyland and San Diego. Thanks to Lynn and Keith we saw a great deal more than we imagined and loved it. We then headed to the Baja Californian Coast, Mexico. Rosarito beach was our destination, staying in delux accommodation thanks to our holiday points and meeting great people, hi to Tyler, Pam, Ed and Jim. We now have the expectation that corn chips and salsa come with the beer, lime and salt!! We had a great time and again saw heaps!!

We then headed to Las Vegas and had a ball with Mike, Amelia, Lynn and Keith. CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN Mike & Millie, can't wait til February!!!!

Las Vegas was huge, shiny, flashy and awesome. So much to see, we constantly in awe. We then drove via Hoover Dam and more to the Grand Canyon...again amazing. We saw gun shows, drove thouusands of feet high on the drive to Tucson, snow on the way...good driving Keith!

Tucson was great, 4 weeks of holidays, fridge jam packed, nights out, good company, horse riding, golf, ranch like a resort (hi to Nancy, Zoe and Taco)...what more could you ask for?...minus the teeth extraction in Mexico!

On the way to LA, we stayed with our friends we met in Mexico in Ontario California. Poooooooooooooouring with rain, but great food and laughs!

We flew out of LA after hour and 1/2 checking in...we barely got checked on the way in! 13 hour flight to Frankfurt where although it was 2am to us the sun was shining and everyone was smoking in the airport~!

After a short flight to London Ric met us at the airport and seeing the ridiculous amount of stuff we collected in 6 weeks!!! (two extra bags; one massive) he paid for a black cab to Cricklewood. We slept, ate, drank and slept for a few days. Josh was kind enough to give up his room...thankyou, and we met the crowd. Before we knew it agency visits, bank accounts, tube, interviews, jobs!!! Then we found somewhere to live!

We are now settled in our pad with Dave and Cat and have been working like bulls. We've tried to see London on the weekends, it's huge so we take our time and take lots of piccy's. Love the number of markets and age of London. But of course we have to go out at night too...check Dave's blogg http://www.saltwater.squarespace.com, so rain can often be used as an excuse to sleep in! We have seen Canterbury in Kent one weekend and this long weekend we are heading to Wales. We are hiring a car on Sat and driving up to Dolgellau in Gwynedd, where we will hopefully see King Arthur's Labrinth, castles and much more! It's a farm property where we will camp. Hopefully we don't get flooded!!!

Well this is a general overview, we will try to keep this updated. Send us an email we you can, we love hearing from everyone. Love to all!!

The First Message!

Well, here we find ourselves in sunny England sitting inside next to a heater because it has been miserable all day, typical (it seems) for a Monday!
