Guest Post

So with Alahna away, I've manged to tie Miles down long enough this weekend for him to let me have a crack at their blog.

Hey its Dave... for anyone that remembers me from Australia, hello! Likewise anyone that doesn't, hello all the same!

So what have I been up to this year? Well not much really, a trip to Paris and a random Chinatown lunch today, otherwise its been fairly plain dealing with the London Winter, hanging out and pissing the locals out at our local (The Spotted Dog), watching people come and go (hi Josh!), and generally wondering how long we can all put up with mushy peas with our fish and chips, warm beer and English tv. Thinking of Summer in Australia doesn't help a lot either.

Having said that, we're all having a great time and there's really a lot to do here. Drunken tube rides, the pubs and clubs, watching the (English) football in the right time zone and seeing 300-year old buildings that don't seem that old are part of everyday life. Most of Europe is a couple of hours flying time away, and best of all we're all earning pounds which doesn't hurt. Personally, the European girls are very nice, but I'll leave that there because I don't want to try my luck with this post!

If anyone else is wondering whats happening here my blog is over here (I've also updated the link), as for Miles he finally got his cast off his arm a couple of weeks back... breaking his arm on the first ski run of his holiday was just... well, a very Miles thing to do. Alahna's in Australia at the moment but Miles has been alright, let's just say we've been playing a lot of golf on the PSPs since he left.

Thats about if for now, a big thanks to Miles for letting me tap this out, let me just say we all miss home heaps but we're making the most of our time overseas and can't wait to get home... whenever that is.

Some random pics I've picked up since I got here...

First up, a picture from Chinese New Year today...

Next up, a picture of London's snow a few weeks back and our local tube station:

One of the better concerts I've ever been to, The Killers playing When You Were Young at the Brixton Academy...

Random photo from Paris:

A street quite close to where we are, Abbey Road and the famous zebra crossing ourside the famous stuido building:

And lastly, the Socceroos lining up against Ghana for a friendly at Loftus Road late last year:
