Well so much for updating you all on Paris, it seems so long ago now - but engaged life has been grand! Paris was wonderful and the proposal very romantic...

Since then, we have been working hard, Miles has a new job working for bank of NY and I hope to find another job soon...as I have been saying for months!

We had a great trip to Northern Spain (first full week off for the both of us since we arrived) after Lucas and Kates wedding...which was fantastic! Unfortunately we forgot our camera so do not have photos of the wedding except the ones people have sent us through email - they both looked stunning!! We luckily purchased a new camera at the airport on the way to Santander so have some photos to show you...

I'm in a park near the beach of Santander and Miles is in a little forest we found hoping to find a Spanish landmark (no luck there)...it was a nice walk though!

Above are photos at Santander Beach, also on our first day in Northern Spain.

Here we are in Comillas, where there are beautiful gothic buildings...and we had some interesting cuisine...see below...razor clams and squid.

We hired a car so were able to drive our way through the country side..these were taken on our way through the Picos de Europa. We stayed in a cute village, Arenas de Cabrales.

lovely tapas...miles has to play with his food!

We finally managed to get someone to take photos of us together...before they ran off with the camera...joking!

We had a lovely 2 day stay in a four star hotel in Gijon (XiXon to the nationalists) which was gorgeous! We spent one day on the beach...we were albinos incomparison to the oil drenched Spaniards! It was a great place, we had one evening meal at a courtyard which served yummy seafood and traditional Asturias cider. Everyone was pouring it above their heads and spilling most of it...so it stank like cider/spew but had a fantastic vibe.

We couldn't help but take a photo and check out the playa de Poo!!

We stayed in this quaint old Spanish town called Cue on our last night. It was a bizarre old town with broken down houses and had a length of approximately 500m. We took a treck to find somewhere to eat and found this out of nowhere beach with a Kiosk, of all places the lady who worked there spoke English...one of the first we encountered...we found this out after we had done our best at our spanish ordering of course!

It was a fabulous holiday, we just wished it had lasted longer. We are desperately planning the next trip, hopefully before the white christmas! We hope you've enjoyed the update of our travels and we'll do our best to update more regularly. xxoo
